Congratulations to Poppy and Toby on their very special day!
I was thrilled to design the wedding cake for Poppy and Toby’s beautiful May wedding at Pelham House in Sussex. Set in the heart of historic Lewes, Pelham House is a stunning Georgian manor that perfectly blends regency elegance with subtle art deco styling. With its timeless and sophisticated ambiance, it was the perfect setting for a refined and romantic celebration.
Poppy and Toby wanted a cake design that reflected the modern, elegant undertone of their day but with a hint of impactful fun! Poppy was naturally drawn to floral design styles, but wanted to include more flair and a few pops of colour within the cake design.
We landed on mix of delicate, romantic ruffles, paired with delicate blush pink hand piped flower petals. The cake perfectly mirrored the floral touches throughout the day, from the beautiful flower arrangements by Go Botanica, to Poppy’s stunning floral embroidered bridal veil. To complete the showstopping design, we added subtle flecks of pure edible gold leaf, bringing a touch of refined sparkle.
It was such a pleasure working with Toby and Poppy to design their cake, and play a small part in their special day. Once again, congratulations!
